Wuhan Fashion Week 2020 kicked off at the Red T Fashion and Creation Block in Jianghan District on the evening of Nov. 7. This is the largest and most prestigious fashion event in Wuhan since the epidemic.

Five winners of China's highest fashion design award, the "Jinding Award," were invited to create a show with the theme of "Volunteer Red" to open the fashion week. Grace Chen, an international women's couture brand, released its latest clothing line at the opening ceremony.

本届时装周开幕秀，邀请了5位中国服装设计最高奖“金顶奖”服装设计师打造“志愿红”主题联合秀，武汉时尚女装品牌红人、国际高定设计品牌Grace Chen发布品牌新款。

The Chinese red-colored stage of the opening show symbolized the rebirth of Wuhan, signifying its struggle from the beginning of its recovery to the rebuilding of prosperity. The development of the city's fashion culture got restarted under a gorgeous spotlight.

开幕秀舞台以热情奔放的中国红为灵感，揭示了武汉浴火重生，从艰难复苏到繁华再塑，在聚光灯下重启城市时尚流行文化。

Twelve designers and six clothing brands put on eighteen fashion shows during the four-day fashion event. For the first time ever, people were able to place an order on clothing featured in the show on its official WeChat platform.

为期4天的时装周邀请了12位设计师、6家成衣品牌，共同演绎18场时尚大秀。同时线上首创即秀即买新模式，18场秀皆可以通过官方微信平台实现一边看秀一边下单。

Various offline activities, such as flash mob shows, brand name fashion shows and visits to internet-famous places, were put on in several local populated business districts like Jianghan Road, Wuhan Tiandi, Han street, and the Wuhan Mall in Hanyang District. These were all designed to promote clothing sales.

There was a considerable presence of students in this year's fashion week from local design institutions like Wuhan Textile University, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, and Wuhan Institute of Design and Sciences. It provides opportunities for the students in these schools to promote themselves, and presents an opportunity for college students to start their own businesses.

2020时装周上的大学生联合秀由武汉纺织大学、湖北美术学院、武汉设计工程学院等设计知名院校联合参秀，为在汉高校设计专业毕业生提供展示机会，搭建大学生留汉创业就业舞台。

Founded in 2012, Wuhan Fashion Week has gradually grown to be a platform to boost the development of the fashion industry and to promote the city's image. After eight years of development, the show this year has received the widest responses from top Chinese designers with international influence.

武汉时装周创办于2012年，目前已逐步成为拉动时尚产业发展、宣传城市形象的平台。历经8年的发展，这一季时装周的联合大秀得到具有国际影响力的中国业界顶尖设计师的积极响应，数量为历届最多。
