China International Industrial Design Expo held

中国国际工业设计博览会在汉开幕

More than 300 industrial enterprises from the world attended the China International Industrial Design Expo held in Wuhan from Dec. 11 through 13. The event exhibited the latest industrial products such as prototypes of China’s new-generation high-speed  maglev train and the large aircraft C919.

12月11日，为期3天的2020中国国际工业设计博览会在武汉开幕。作为国内最高规格的工业设计展，本届博览会吸引了全球300多家工业设计企业参展。新一代高速磁悬浮列车、C919大型客机等“高精尖”模型亮相，展示我国最尖端的工业设计和制造水平。

Largest artificial urban lake to appear

Construction on Wuhan Central Business District’s Mengze Lake Park commenced on Dec. 15. The project involves the lake itself and gardening and landscaping around the lake. Mengze Lake will occupy an area of 22.5 hectares. Once completed, it will be Wuhan’s largest artificial urban lake.

12月15日，武汉中央商务区梦泽湖公园（东区）工程开始勘察施工，标志着该工程正式启动。梦泽湖整体湖面面积为 22.5 公顷，包括公园园林建设、人工湖工程、景观建筑建设等。建成后，梦泽湖将成为武 汉市中心城区最大的人工湖。

Wugang Industrial Port to transform into Wuhan Industrial Port

武钢工业港将变身武汉工业港

Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO)started constructing the Wuhan Industrial Port on Dec. 15. With an investment of RMB 5.7 billion, it is a key project by China Baowu Steel Group.  Located along the Qingshan section of the Yangtze River, the project will transform WISCO’s previous Wugang Industrial Port into a public port, providing comprehensive services such as trade, finance, logistics, and processing for bulk commodity businesses in Wuhan and the Central China region at large.

12月15日，武钢正式启动武汉工业港项目。该项目总投资57亿元，是中国宝武在汉投资建设的重要项目之一。武汉工业港前身是武钢工业港，地处青山区沿江地带。建成后，港口将从企业港口转型为社会公共港口，为武汉及华中地区大宗商品提供贸易、金融、物流、加工等综合服务。

Special evening gala salutes anti-epidemic heroes

公益晚会致敬抗疫英雄

A special evening gala in honor of the city and its anti-epidemic heroes was held at Qintai Grand Theater on the evening of Dec. 14. Celebrities such as Han Xue, Shen Teng, Jia Ling, Tong Dawei, Li Yugang, and Zhang Kaili, in cooperation with performers from Wuhan People’s Art Theater and frontline medical representatives from Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, presented videos,  sketches, dances and songs.

12月14日晚，韩雪、沈腾、贾玲、佟大为、李玉刚、张凯丽等实力派演员、歌手与武汉人民艺术剧院以及来自武汉中南医院抗疫一线医护代表跨界组合，在琴台大剧院为武汉及全国带来《风雨同行路 我们在一起》公益晚会。晚会以抗疫故事贯穿，串联视频短片、小品、歌曲等，向英雄致敬，展现复产振兴的活力武汉。

Wuhan Three Towns claims C2L championship

武汉三镇队拿下中乙冠军

At the Chinese Football Association Division Two League (C2L) match on Dec. 12, the city’s local football team Wuhan Three Towns defeated its rival, Zibo Cuju, with a score of 6:5, and claimed its first C2L championship. The victory also signals Wuhan’s second championship in national football games after Wuhan Chedu Jianghan University Women’s Football Team claimed the championship of the 2020 Chinese Football Association (CFA) Women’s Super League two months ago.

12日下午，2020年中乙联赛冠亚军决赛在昆明打响。武汉三镇队以总比分6:5战胜淄博蹴鞠，问鼎本赛季中乙冠军。这也是武汉足球今年度获得的第二个冠军，两个月前，武汉·中国车谷江大女足也是在昆明拿下2020年女超联赛冠军。
