Event for Hubei Province to be held

4月12日，外交部向全球特别推介湖北

At the Foreign Ministry's regular press conference held on the afternoon of April 7, it was announced that the Foreign Ministry Special Promotion Event for Hubei Province will be held at 4:45 p.m. on April 12 at Lanting (South Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC). With the theme of “Heroic Hubei: Reborn for New Glories,” the event is co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Hubei Province. Mr.Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister, will be present and address the audience. Hubei and Wuhan officials will make presentations of Hubei province and its capital city Wuhan. Representatives from the diplomatic corps and international friends who contributed to fighting against COVID-19 in Wuhan will make remarks. This will be the Foreign Ministry's first special promotion event since the epidemic was brought under control.

在4月7日的外交部例行记者会上发言人赵立坚宣布：4月12日16:45分，在外交部南楼蓝厅举行主题为“英雄的湖北：浴火重生 再创辉煌”外交部湖北全球特别推介活动。届时，国务委员兼外长王毅将出席并致辞，湖北省委书记应勇、省长王晓东、武汉市委书记王忠林将出席并作推介，外国驻华使节代表和为武汉抗疫作出贡献的国际友人代表将应邀发言。这是外交部在疫情后举行的首场省区市推介活动。

Our journalists learned that a moveable vaccination service vehicle is available in the B2 section of the center, providing COVID-19 vaccine inoculation service for those who are in need. Over one hundred experts are there to give free medical consultations.

On April 7, the “Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum · Wuhan Special Summit” was held with leading entrepreneurs, experts, and scholars from all over the country gathering to exchange ideas, and seek cooperation and development on the theme of “Wuhan’s Modernization Road under the New Pattern.” At the forum, 29 industrial projects in the field of optical and electronic information, big data, intelligent manufacturing, and others were signed, for a total amount of RMB 34.65 billion.

The 2021 China Open Horse Racing (Wuhan) held

The 2021 China Open Horse Racing (Wuhan), the Wuhan leg of the highest-level horse racing series in China, kicked off at the Orient Luck City's international racetrack on April 3.

Horses from 20 owners of 13 domestic clubs were entered. Of these, 53 horses were selected to participate in the races. Starting at 2 p.m. on April 3, at the sound of the opening gong, five top-level horse races took place.

4月3日，2021年中国速度赛马公开赛（武汉站）在东方马城国际赛马场鸣锣开闸——国家最高级别的系列速度赛马赛事成功落地武汉。来自国内13家俱乐部名下20位马主的马匹报名参赛，最终53驹宣布出赛。下午2时，伴随着开赛铜锣的敲响，5场国内高水准的赛马赛事正式上演。

Great changes have taken place in Wuhan since the year 2020. How has the city been viewed in the eyes of foreigners? Our journalists have recently interviewed foreigners from 26 countries, including Britain, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Belgium, Pakistan, and Singapore. They are from all walks of life ranging from foreign teachers, TV hosts, entrepreneurs, doctors, singers, and students. Some of them still reside in Wuhan, while others have already returned to their hometowns. They all extend their best wishes to cheer up Wuhan saying “Wuhan, you are excellent!”  

武汉浴火重生发生了翻天覆地的变化。外国人眼中的武汉是怎样的？长江日报记者采访了来自英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、巴西、比利时、巴基斯坦、新加坡等26个国家的外国友人。他们中有外教、主持人、记者、企业家、医生、创业者、歌手、学生，有的尚在武汉、有的已经回到了自己的家乡，他们纷纷为武汉打call，称“我心中的武汉，倍儿棒”。

“It's good to be vaccinated. I'm very assured because the inactivated vaccine is the kind of vaccine most widely used in China,” said Yin Hongfu, an 86-year-old academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of China University of Geosciences. He received the COVID-19 vaccine shot at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University on April 1. People aged 18 to 70, with their ID cards, can go to the nearby vaccination service centers to receive vaccination directly without making an appointment beforehand.

“打疫苗是个好事情。灭活疫苗在我国用得最广，我很放心。”4月1日上午，86岁的中国科学院院士、中国地质大学教授殷鸿福在武汉大学中南医院接种新冠疫苗。据悉，18岁至70岁市民不用预约可直接去疫苗现场，持本人身份证接种新冠疫苗。

The Yellow Crane Tower Park released its creative new ice cream bar on April 4. In the shape of the Yellow Crane Tower, it comes in two flavors, one in chocolate flavor and the other in yogurt and peach. This dessert was so popular that the first half day saw nearly 1,500 bars sold.

黄鹤楼造型雪糕于4月4日在黄鹤楼公园上市。雪糕造型为缩小版黄鹤楼，看着颜值高高、仙气飘飘，有巧克力味和酸奶黄桃味两种口味。当天，黄鹤楼公园网红雪糕一上市，就受到了游客的高度好评，仅上午半天就卖出近1500支。
