On April 19, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport resumed its passenger flights between Jakarta and Wuhan, bringing the total international and regional routes to five: Pakistan, Singapore, Jakarta, Macao, and Seoul.

4月19日，武汉天河国际机场恢复了雅加达往返武汉客运航线。截至目前，武汉天河国际机场已恢复的国际及地区航线有巴基斯坦、新加坡、雅加达、澳门和首尔共5条。

On April 19, an inaugural ceremony to launch the start of key projects of the second quarter in Wuhan took place at a main venue in Xinzhou District. Other districts have also set up branch venues and held simultaneous groundbreaking activities. Each of the 203 major projects that have started construction has an investment value of over RMB 100 million, altogether amounting to RMB 259.56 billion.

4月19日，武汉举行2021年第二季度全市重大项目集中开工活动。活动在新洲区举行，其他各区设立分会场并同步举行开工活动。参加此次集中开工活动的亿元以上重大项目共203个，总投资2595.6亿元。

The spring finals of China's League of Legends Pro League (LPL) took place at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center on April 18. In the finals, the established e-sports organization, Royal Never Give Up (RNG), took on the 2019 LPL world champion FunPlus Phoenix, taking them down 3:1 and claiming the championship. RNG's player GALA was crowned the Final's MVP. On behalf of its region, RNG will compete in the Mid-Season Invitational to be held in Iceland.

Recently, a tree in Qingshan Riverside Park has gone viral on the Internet. It stands silent by the Yangtze River, with a bench as its only companion. On March 15, netizen "LongxiansenpaiWuhan" posted a video about the tree on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok). About 23 million people have watched the tree in this video which has got 30,000 likes.

Wuhan has released 178 vacancies in public institutions for high-level talent at home and abroad, targeted at candidates with doctoral degrees or with senior professional and technical certificates. The registration channel was open from April 19 to 23.

On April 16, OCT · Hongfang Creative Design Center was opened to the public. After restoration and renovation, the center was transformed from the former Gangcheng No. 3 Primary School, a 65-year-old complex. It is now a new popular site for locals.

Recently, the "Eye of East Lake," a giant Ferris wheel located beside East Lake, was decorated with LED lights so that it could present light shows. During the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the Ferris wheel will stage an ancient-Chinese-style animated light show.
