At 9:10 a.m. on May 8, Aeromexico flight AM9007, carrying cross-border e-commerce products, medical supplies and electronic products, took off from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, marking the opening of a regular international air cargo route between Wuhan and Mexico City. The flight touched down in Mexico City 16 hours later.

5月8日9时10分，墨西哥航空公司一架装载跨境电商、医疗物资、电子产品等货物的AM9007航班从武汉天河机场起飞，标志着武汉至墨西哥城定期国际货运航线顺利首航，16个小时后抵达墨西哥城。

This is the fourteenth regular international air cargo route that has been put into service at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. It joins a list of 13 other such regular international and regional flight routes that connect Wuhan with Liege, Frankfurt, Chicago, Dallas/Los Angeles, Addis Ababa, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Manila, Delhi, Dhaka, Hanoi, and Hong Kong.

武汉—墨西哥城货运航线是天河机场开通的第14条国际定期货运航线，除该航线外，武汉天河机场已开通列日、法兰克福、芝加哥、达拉斯/洛杉矶、亚的斯亚巴贝、大阪、首尔、新加坡、马尼拉、德里、达卡、河内、中国香港等国际及地区全货机定期航线。

Sudden thunderstorm in Wuhan

Wuhan's weather changed dramatically on May 10 from sunshine in the morning to a dark afternoon with gales and thunderstorms. The rainfall almost broke the record for the greatest one-hour rainfall ever recorded in Wuhan, and the wind speed reached the maximum rate this year. Within one hour and 11 minutes that afternoon, the city had issued four weather warnings one after another. Historical data shows severe convective weather like this is rarely seen. 

上半天还是艳阳高照，下半天狂风和暴雨雷电齐齐来袭。10日下午，武汉遭遇了一场接近武汉国家站史上最大小时雨强极值的雷电暴风雨天气，风力也刷新今年的最大风力级别，单从各项数据上来看，这次的强对流天气都堪称“少见”。当天下午的1小时11分内，武汉连发4次天气预警。

A press conference focused on Chinese Youth was launched by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee on May 12, in which Wang Xiukun, a postgraduate from the School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Wuhan University (WHU), took part as the only student representative.

12日上午，中共中央宣传部举行中外记者见面会，武汉大学外国语言文学学院研究生王琇琨作为唯一的学生代表参与交流。

Born in 1997, Wang was the youngest among the five representatives. She has been devoted to voluntary activities for nearly 10 years. At the press conference, she shared her experiences as a volunteer during the outbreak.

1997年出生的王琇琨，是现场5位青年代表中年龄最小的一个，但她做志愿者已经快10年了。会上，她介绍了自己疫情以来的志愿服务经历。

Earlier during the pandemic, Wang, on behalf of China, had participated in three UN live-streaming exchange seminars, where she communicated with the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, shared China's experience in prevention and control of COVID-19 as well as Wuhan University students' volunteer stories. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres praised Wang and her fellows for devoting their youth persistently and passionately with wisdom.         

疫情防控期间，王琇琨曾3次作为中国代表参与联合国网络直播研讨会，与联合国秘书长青年特使对话，分享中国战疫经验成果与武汉大学的志愿服务故事。联合国秘书长古特雷斯称赞王琇琨和她的小伙伴们“坚韧不拔、充满智慧，积极热情地贡献青春力量”。

The 2021 Wuhan Fashion Art Festival (WFAF) was unveiled simultaneously at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (HIFA) and James Jackson Museum on May 10.

5月10日晚，2021武汉时尚艺术季活动在湖北美术学院（昙华林校区）和武汉设计之都客厅翟雅阁博物馆拉开帷幕。

On the same day its first press conference was held at the museum. The conference, a platform for outstanding designs by local university students, integrated immersive experiences and visual and acoustic technology, showcasing the many designs mixed with tradition and innovations in fashion. An array of events, including online press conferences for designs by both local university students and invited designers, as well as a fashion art exhibition, will take place in the latter half of this month.

当晚，首场时尚动态秀“院校优秀作品发布会”，在翟雅阁博物馆上演。活动现场，集沉浸式秀场、全感官艺术体验、声光电科技元素于一体，展现了传统文化与时尚创意的激情碰撞。本次艺术季还将于5月中下旬举办院校优秀作品云发布、特邀设计师品牌云发布、时尚艺术展等丰富活动。

Jointly organized by the Wuhan Municipal Government and Tmall, the country's first-ever parade showcasing domestic brand-name products took place on May 9, one day prior to the annual China Brand Day. Over 10 floats and 30 balloons, designed by various artists, took part.

510中国品牌日前夕，武汉市政府联合天猫举办了全国首场国货花车巡游。多位艺术家结合设计了10余辆大型花车和30多款大型气球。

The parade was a mobile exhibition promoting domestic brand-name products. Century-old commodities, intangible heritage handicrafts, as well as technological and newly emerging industries, were promoted. The products of over 40 domestic companies with familiar names such as Xiaomi, Haier, and Pechoin were advertised.

这是一场街头流动的国货博览会，百年老字号、非遗手工艺、科技品牌与新消费品牌同台。小米、海尔、百雀羚等40多个国货品牌参与其中。

'Discover Wuhan' hits 500,000 followers

The "Discover Wuhan" account on Facebook has hit 500,000 followers from more than 50 countries, among which young fans under 34 years old account for over 70 percent. Since the account was launched on June 8 last year, it has issued 459 posts and has become a social media platform favored by overseas fans.    

@DiscoverWuhan“发现武汉”脸书账号粉丝突破50万。这50万粉丝来自全球50余国家，七成以上为34岁以下年轻人。账号自6月8日开通以来，已发布459条帖子，它已成为深受年轻外国网友关注与喜爱的海外社交媒体账号。

Via "Discover Wuhan," foreigners get to know different sides of Wuhan with its prosperous economy, various activities, colorful lives and unique specialties and new travel destinations as well. The account has also been launched on Instagram and YouTube.

通过“发现武汉”，海内外网友看到了今日武汉的经济繁荣、缤纷活动、多彩当地生活、特色美食以及旅游新去向。粉丝们在这里一起发现不一样的武汉。账号同时也在Instagram、YouTube两个海外传播平台开设。
