SCO non-governmental friendship forum to be held next week

上合组织民间友好论坛下周举行

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) non-governmental friendship forum will take place in Wuhan from June 2 to 4. Approximately 500 representatives, from SCO member states and observer states, China-based foreign diplomatic professionals, companies and media will attend the forum, during which an initiative will be released, aiming to advance pragmatic cooperation between SCO member states in areas such as economic development, poverty alleviation, health, education, media convergence, and big data.   

6月2日至4日，上海合作组织民间友好论坛将在武汉举行。论坛将邀请来自上海合作组织成员国、观察员国、驻华使节、企业、媒体等近500位代表参加。期间将发布一项倡议，以推动上海合作组织成员国在经济发展、减贫、卫生健康、教育、融媒体、大数据等方面务实合作。

Three-year action plan for Wuhan City Cluster

武汉城市圈同城化发展《三年行动方案》通过

A three-year action plan for urban integration was examined and approved when the nine cities comprising the Wuhan City Cluster signed a cooperative agreement at the first session of their first joint conference on May 19. Jointly created by Wuhan, Huangshi, Ezhou, Xiaogan, Huanggang, Xianning, Xiantao, Tianmen, and Qianjiang, the action plan aims to comprehensively promote urban integration in infrastructure, industrial collaborative innovation, opening up, public service, ecological and environmental protection, and factor markets.

5月19日，武汉城市圈同城化发展联席会第一次会议上，武汉市、黄石市、鄂州市、孝感市、黄冈市、咸宁市、仙桃市、天门市、潜江市（以下简称“9市”）共同通过同城化发展《三年行动方案》。9市将统筹推进武汉城市圈基础设施、产业协同创新、对外开放、公共服务、生态环保、要素市场同城化发展。

Over 10 million doses administered in Wuhan

武汉新冠病毒疫苗接种突破1000万剂次

As of 2:30 p.m. on May 25, over 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered across Wuhan, according to Wuhan Municipal Health Commission. They also reported that 65.7% of Wuhan residence, aged at 18 and above, received their first short. So far Wuhan has set up 336 designated vaccination service centers across the city.  

从武汉市卫健委获悉，截至5月25日14时30分，武汉累计接种新冠病毒疫苗超过1000万剂次。武汉市18岁及以上人群中第一剂次接种率达65.7%。目前武汉累计设置了336个新冠病毒疫苗定点接种单位。

On May 24, at Wuhan's 2nd Quarter Investment Projects Signing Ceremony, 141 contracts were signed worth RMB 383.87 billion, covering digital economy, headquarters economy, trade and logistics, infrastructure, and ecological environment.                                               

5月24日，武汉市第二季度招商引资项目签约大会成功举行，集中签约项目达141个，总投资额3838.66亿元，涵盖数字经济、总部经济、商贸物流、基础设施、生态环境等多个领域。

Science and Technology Week held

科技活动周举行

On May 22, the opening ceremony of the 2021 Wuhan Science and Technology Week was held at the China Architecture Science and Technology Museum in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone. The event brought 56 companies with nearly 80 booths in the interactive science exhibition area, covering subjects such as life and health, natural resources, as well as disaster prevention and mitigation.

5月22日，2021年武汉市科技活动周启动仪式在武汉市东湖高新区的中国建筑科技馆举行。此次科普互动展区上共有56家单位近80个展位，内容涵盖生命健康、自然资源、防灾减灾等方面。

Freight train to Kazakhstan debuts

武汉首开至哈萨克斯坦中亚班列

On May 20, an international freight train loaded with 652 tonnes of bicycles, household appliances, fabrics, and other livelihood products departed from Wuhan Wujiashan Station, heading toward Almaty, Kazakhstan. As the first outbound train linking Wuhan and the Central Asian country of Kazakhstan, the train leaves the country through Horgos port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and arrives at Almaty 12 days later.                            

2021年5月20日，满载652吨自行车、家用电器、布料等民生产品的75123次国际班列，从武汉吴家山鸣笛发车，驶向哈萨克斯坦阿拉木图。此趟班列为武汉首开至哈萨克斯坦中亚班列，经由新疆霍尔果斯口岸出境，计划12天后抵达哈萨克斯坦阿拉木图。

First lotus blossoms in Shahu Park

沙湖第一朵荷花绽放

The first lotus flowers in Shahu Park have quietly begun to bloom among the green lotus leaves, heralding the arrival of summer weather. The park is expected to welcome full lotus blossoms in mid June when the 7th Shahu Park Lotus Blossom Exhibition is scheduled to take place. As many as 11 cultural activities and thousands of pots of fine lotus flowers will divert the attention of the visitors from the hot weather.

沙湖公园，片片荷叶的绿意层叠间，第一朵荷花已静悄绽放，预告着炎炎夏日的到来。今年沙湖公园将在6月中旬迎来盛花期。2021年沙湖公园第七届荷花展也将在6月中旬清凉来袭。届时将展出数千盆精品荷花供市民欣赏，更有11项文化活动伴市民度夏。
