The Hubei Museum and Wuhan Youxuntong Co., Ltd. jointly launched a fare card in the shape of the sword of Goujian (the King of Yue) on Sept. 16. This so-called most collectible fare card sparked intense interest immediately upon its launch and has become a trending topic on Weibo.

“In the Hubei Museum, the sword of Goujian is a key IP, representing the spirit of pioneering with arduous efforts,” said a staff member from the Hubei Museum. Passengers can top up the card on their phones and take metro and bus rides with it in 303 cities in China. The sword of Goujian fare card can be used on Wuhan buses starting on Sept. 16. Passengers will soon be able to use it in the Wuhan Metro. The card can be purchased on 武汉通行公众号 for RMB 149.
湖北省博物馆市场部主任王亮表示,越王勾践剑本身就是湖北省博物馆的一个重点IP,它代表一种筚路蓝缕的文化精神。该卡可用手机充值,在全国303个城市刷卡坐公交、地铁。武汉公交9月16日起可用,武汉地铁不久后也能使用。该卡售价149元,市民可通过武汉通行公众号购买。
