Wuhan becomes popular destination during Mid-Autumn Festival

An analysis report on the travel data during the Mid-Autumn Festival issued by Ctrip shows that Wuhan was among the top 10 national destinations for tourists taking short trips to surrounding areas. The scenes of local citizens and tourists celebrating the holiday with laughter and joy were broadcast twice in CCTV's "Xinwen Lianbo." The concert dedicated to the holiday, which was organized by Changjiang Daily's Visual Raido and connected with CCTV's live broadcast program, received warm feedback from global netizens.

Projects worth of RMB 51.97 billion signed in service industry

武汉市服务业发展大会暨招商专场活动签约519.7亿元

The Wuhan Conference for Development and Investment Promotion of Service Industry was held on Sept. 17. A total of 38 major projects were signed there, with the total contract value topping RMB 51.97 billion. Ximalaya FM plans to set up its regional headquarters in Wuhan, and JD.com intends to build its "Seven Fresh Central China Headquarters" in the city.

9月17日, 武汉市服务业发展大会暨招商专场活动举行。会上签约了38个大项目，签约金额达到519.7亿元。其中，喜马拉雅拟在汉设立喜马拉雅区域总部，京东集团拟在汉建设“京东七鲜华中总部”项目。

International media challengers explore Wuhan

Top candidates of Media Challengers, a global talent hunt campaign launched by CGTN (China Global Television Network), arrived in Wuhan on Sept. 19. The Media Challengers Wuhan Team consisted of six candidates, four of whom participated in person, completing a three-day mission at the venues of the Zhiyin cruise, Hubu Alley and Yellow Crane Tower. The candidates experienced firsthand the dynamics of Wuhan and commented that many detailed aspects presented the city as an international metropolis.

9月19日，央媒CGTN（中国国际电视台）“媒体勇士”活动招募的四位中外选手来到武汉。本次“媒体勇士”武汉组共有六名选手参加，其中两人在线上参与比赛。其余四名选手三天内打卡知音号、户部巷和黄鹤楼，根据比赛所设置的挑战完成任务。选手们在武汉感受英雄城市活力，并表示“很多细节展现出国际化大都市特征。

Colorful bougainvilleas lighten up Wuhan Botanical Garden

来植物园赏五颜六色的簕杜鹃

The first Bougainvillea Exhibition in Wuhan is running from Sept. 16 to Oct. 18 at the Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The flower exhibition displays bougainvilleas with diverse colors in more than 3,000 pots along with other kinds of flowers in further 12,000 pots. The exhibition, running until 9:30 p.m. every evening, is the first night show at the garden.

武汉市首届簕杜鹃花展于9月16至10月18日在武汉植物园举行。花展期间共有3000余盆簕杜鹃、12000盆各色鲜花扮靓植物园。此次花展是植物园首个有夜场的花展，展览期间闭园时间延长至21:30。

4th Hubei Arts Festival opens

第四届湖北艺术节开幕

The 4th Hubei Arts Festival opened at the Wuhan Hongshan Assembly Hall on the evening of Sept. 17. The festival, held every three years, is the largest comprehensive arts festival in Hubei. This year's festival will last until Sept. 30. More than 20 performances from various art troupes all over the province will be staged in Wuhan during the two weeks.

9月17日晚，第四届湖北艺术节在武汉洪山礼堂拉开帷幕。湖北艺术节每三年一届，是我省水平最高、规格最高、规模最大的综合性艺术活动。本届艺术节持续至9月30日，为期14天时间里，来自全省各地文艺院团的20多部舞台剧目将在汉集中上演。

Shang-dynasty ruins of Panlongcheng site enters final list of Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in a Century

盘龙城商代遗址入围“百年百大考古发现”终评

Organized by the Institute of Archaeology of CASS and China Archaeology Press, the activity "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in a Century" recently released its final list for further selection. A total of 160 archaeological discoveries are included on the list. Among them are eight discoveries from Hubei, including the exploration and excavation of the Shang-dynasty ruins of Panlongcheng site located in Huangpi, Wuhan.

由中国考古学会、中国文物报社主办的“百年百大考古发现”遴选推介活动日前公布160个入围终评的项目名单。其中，武汉黄陂盘龙城商代遗址的勘探与发掘等8项湖北考古发现榜上有名。
