Chinese:

他最近几背时哦，骑个自行车都能撞树上。

English:

He has had such unlucky days recently that he bumped into a tree while riding a bicycle.

Meaning: [adj.] Soft

Chinese:

English:

Golden fallen leaves pile up on the ground like a soft carpet.

Meaning: [n.] A person who spends improvidently or wastefully

Chinese:

English:

He spent all his time making trouble, and ended up by squandering away his father's property. Thus, he became a notorious spendthrift in the neighborhood.
